Fare Well is both a wish and a terrifying possibility. Nature responds and endures in different forms through upheavals of the earth and changes in climate. As my painting developed in the making, it has described the transience, the interconnectedness of weather systems, land, and sea. I enjoy the material properties of paint and the possibility to convey my sensory experiences and ideas after spending time outside. I cannot help but touch on the sublime which for me is not a picture but a presence that I carry with me but cannot contain.
